The MTB MX wheels are all around cross country wheels. The rear1 wheel uses 28 spokes stainless straight gauge 2.0 mm spokes The hubs are forged and cnc machined before being anodized. The anodizing provides a durable and good looking finish. Two Abec 5 level, low contact seal, Japanese cartridge bearings are press fit into the shell. Agressive rubber contact seals in the end caps keep out crud. The steel Shimano-Sram compatible cassette body is the same one used in the M28 Aero wheels and is one of the most durable anywhere. The disc mount is a standard 6 bolt mount. The axle has two raised bosses that engage inner race of the bearings allowing for the elimination of bearing preload. This simple and elegant design also means there is no bearing preload when you tighten the skewer. The 26" 6066 pinned aluminum alloy rim is 23 mm wide and 20 mm deep and weighs 465 grams. Eyelets are used to prevent rim cracks As with all Neuvation wheels these are hand-built by master builders using both dial indicator run out gauges and tensiometers to adjust tension.
