| The FC 100 frameset combines the FC100 frame with the full carbon F100 fork, Cane Creek integrated headset and an alloy seat clamp. It has an English bottom bracket with 27.2 seat post and 1-1/8" steerer. The frame uses an alloy bottom bracket, seat cluster and head tube that is bonded to specially formed carbon tubes. The tubing shape provides a vertically compliant ride yet it is very stiff at the bottom bracket. Frame weight for a 56 CM frame is 1380 grams. The fork is full carbon with a 43 mm offset designed specifically for this frame. I first visited the this frame factory about 10 years ago when he was doing the buik of the production for a well known French frame maker. The owner started in the carbon frame business as an employee of a top end Taiwanese bike company as one of their chief carbon frame engineers. I remember visiting that factory in the mid 90's and they refused to allow anyone in to see their production. It's very clear that this factory has as long a history in carbon frame production as any in Taiwan or China. We have now sold hundreds of carbon bikes and continually hear back that customers are exceedingly happy with the performance. Don't let the great price fool you into thinking this is a buget frameset. While not as light as the very lightest, the performance is in the same league as other companies high end carbon framesets. |
