The R28 Aero4 Front wheels offers better aerodynamics due to a reduced spoke count and aero spokes. The reduced spoke count is the result of using extremely strong 13 gauge spokes that have been forged from Sandvick stainless wire offering 30% more strength than a standard spoke. The 420 gram. 27 mm aerodyamanic, 16 hole rims are a special 6066 T6 alloy that has been extruded, rolled and sleeved and finally anodized leaving a durable aluminum oxide coating. The braking surfaces have been CNC machined for better performance. The hubs are CNC machined from forged 6000 series alloy and are clear anodized. The axle is machined from 7000 series aluminum. The bearings are Abec 5 level, Japanese, low contact seal bearings that are easily replaceable and will not pre-load no matter how tight you tighten the skewer. This rendering  shows the elegantly simple construction of the hub.  Two cartridge bearings are press fit into the ends of the hub.  The axle has bosses that keep the inner race in place. All Neuvation wheels are 100% hand-built by some of the best wheel builders in the world. Using only dial gauges for run-out tolerances and a tensiometer for spoke tension, the quality of the build is equal to any found anywhere.  Great for racing, cyclo-cross, and training. Rim: Deep V 27 mm rim 19 mm wide 440 grams. 16H. CNC machined braking surface for smoother braking. New for 2008 is a stronger 6066 alloy Stainless Aero Pillar 4.3 spokes (made from Sandvic wire) with silver alloy nipples. Front hub 100 grams. uses two R6 precision, Abec 5 level, low contact seal  cartridge bearings 690 grams (weight without quick release skewers) Includes skewer (57 grams) Includes rim tape 700C clincher . As with all Neuvation wheels, 100% hand built.
