The M28 SL wheel is one of my favorites.  It’s a very light wheel at an exceptional price.   While this is a quality wheel stripped down to the basics it still offers all of the standard features found with all Neuvation wheels - quality construction and exceptional workmanship.

All Neuvation front hubs use the same basic hub shell and the same quality R6, Abec 5 level, low contact seal bearings.

The design of the hub creates a solid platform for the inner bearing race.  During assembly, the upper (outer) bearing race is press fit into the hub shell –taking up the bearing preload.  The result is that no matter how tight you tighten the skewers there is no bearing adjustment.

The 6066 alloy, 27 mm deep V rim is 440 grams.  It’s a sleeved construction that is both durable and strong.  It’s black anodized and the braking surfaces are cnc (computer numeric controlled) machined for excellent stopping power.  Spokes are Sapim Race double butted 2.0/1.8, black stainless, with silver alloy nipples.

All Neuvaiton wheels are 100% hand-built by highly trained wheel builders.  All truing is done with dial indicators to our spec.  Tension is controlled with DT Swiss tensiometers.

  • Rim: Deep V 27 mm rim 19 mm wide made with a new for 2008, 6066 alloy which is stronger than the old 6061.440 grams. 20H  CNC machined braking surface for smoother braking.
  • Stainless double butted  Sapim 2.0 - 1.8  spokes with silver alloy  nipples.
  • Front hub 100 grams. uses two R6 precision, Abec 5 level, low contact seal  cartridge bearings
  • 675 grams
  • Comes with a 57 gram alloy quick release
  • Without rim tape - I suggest using the Velox cloth 16 mm tape
  • 700C clincher .
  • As with all Neuvation wheels, 100% hand built.
