The deeper the rim, the more aero you are and the faster you go.

You should use the brake pads specific to Neuvation rims because they are formulate for that specific rim. You will also not brake as well with a carbon wheel because unlike aluminum, carbon won’t absorb the heat of braking. Since they is no outlet for the heat (the counter balancing energy for loss of speed) you won’t stop as fast. Also, great care is needed with removing tubular tires because it’s easy to pull the carbon up with the tire destroying the rim.

If you want to go faster without increasing your wattage the only real way to do that is with carbon wheels. More expensive components will slightly reduce the weight but it’s not spinning weight and they won’t significantly reduce the aerodynamic drag like carbon wheels will.
